MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.

From Nov. 27 to Dec. 4 there were:

  • 686 calls for service
  • 15 arrests
  • 15 traffic collisions
  • 36 crime reports taken

  • Police received a report of a residential burglary in-progress at a home in the 600 block of 9th Street. According to the resident, the suspects smashed the first-floor rear glass door to make entry. When police arrived, they saw a gray vehicle with paper plates speeding away, but were unable to catch it. When police drove the suspect's getaway route, they found a dumped backpack with a Wi-Fi jammer inside. According to the victim, nothing was stolen.
