Car Crash Closes Highland Avenue North And South At 45th Street

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — An injury car collision has closed north and southbound Highland Avenue at 45th Street in North Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach police and fire personnel have responded and are asking the public to avoid the area.

The road closure will impact traffic coming south on Vista Del Mar from El Segundo and the Dockweiler Beach area as well as traffic heading out of Manhattan Beach along the coast. Highland Avenue is a popular oceanside roadway that connects Manhattan Beach with points north. The road changes its name to Vista Del Mar after 45th Street, heading north.

UPDATE: As of 4:44 p.m., Manhattan Beach Police have said Highland Avenue is now open at 45th Street heading north and south.
