Man Arrested On Pier For Several Charges In Manhattan Beach

UPDATED 3 A.M., July 26 to reflect the man was arrested on the pier and not the beach as previously reported/ Manhattan Beach confirmed the arrest was for public drunkenness.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach Police dealt with an individual on the Manhattan Beach Pier and arrested him for public drunkenness today around 6:15 p.m., according to MBPD. On Nextdoor, members of the public raised the issue as to what was going on with "lots of sirens late Saturday afternoon at the beach."
