Manhattan Beach City Council Extends Annual Business License Tax
To help businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Manhattan Beach has extended the deadline for the annual Business License Tax.
Manhattan Beach, CA — Recognizing the continued economic devastation that the coronavirus (COVID-19) has had on our local businesses and economy, the City Council has once again extended the deadline for Annual Business License Tax Submittals. The new deadline is July 31, 2020.
Mayor Richard Montgomery stated, “We continue to assist our business community during this pandemic. At the beginning of the pandemic, we recognized the economic effect the Safer at Home Orders were going to have on our businesses and acted swiftly to extend the business license tax submittals. Today, as we continue to see closures, the economic effect will continue to be felt by our business community and we continue to work with them in an effort to mitigate the pain they are experiencing.”
To that end, recently, the City Council approved a temporary outdoor dining and business use program to allow restaurants and businesses to use the public right-of-ways and accommodate social distancing measures required by State and County protocols designed to limit the spread of COVID-19.
