Manhattan Beach Issues Mask Citations, Warnings Last Weekend
Manhattan Beach Police Chief Derrick Abell provides data on mask enforcement citations to City Council during live meeting Tuesday night.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Last weekend, the City of Manhattan Beach issued 63 citations for non-compliance of its new emergency order to wear a facial covering in public or be fined, Police Chief Derrick Abell told City Council during a live meeting Tuesday night. He also noted that staff gave at least 596 warnings to people who had a mask but were not wearing it. An additional 600 people on the beach who had a mask and weren't wearing it were also warned.
