Manhattan Beach Open Added to AVP Tour

The Manhattan Beach Open will be added to the 2013 Association of Volleyball Professionals season, it was announced Thursday.

The tournament, which will be held Aug. 23-25, will be produced by IMG Worldwide. The companies also announced that the Atlantic City Beach Volleyball Tournament will be added to the season.

Earlier this year, several of the world’s top beach volleyball pros signed exclusive deals with the AVP including Olympians Kerri Walsh Jennings, Phil Dalhausser, Todd Rogers, April Ross,  Jen Kessy, Jake Gibb, Sean Rosenthal and Nicole Branagh, according to a press release.
