Manhattan Beach: Residential Burglaries Increase In Latest Report
Other crime reports for the week include stolen vehicles, thefts and vehicular burglary, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — After several weeks with very few, if any, residential burglaries in Manhattan Beach, four took place from January 25-31, up from zero the previous week. Those four, however, all involved an garage that was open and each happened on a different day, according to the latest crime report from the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
Otherwise, there were two vehicles stolen, one vehicle burglarized, one assault and seven thefts for that timeframe. The auto thefts happened on January 31; one in the 4400 block of Ocean Drive, the other of an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of Manhattan Avenue. The vehicle burglary took place on January 26 in the 200 block of 41st Street. The assault happened on January 27 in the 200 block of 39th Street.

- January 30 — Shoplifting, 3200 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard
The Manhattan Beach Police Department reports these "Preliminary Crime Statistics," which are "subject to change and correction" as a way "to give citizens a good ballpark of crime in Manhattan Beach, but they are not official numbers."
