MBUSD Holding Town Halls To Answer COVID-19 Questions

The Manhattan Beach Unified School District holds Town Halls to answer questions on what parents can expect school to look like in the fall.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach Unified School District is holding two different Town Halls to address questions on coronavirus and how schools will reopen in the fall. School is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 26 and the school district's board of trustees is working to figure out what will be implemented to keep students and staff safe.

The first Town Hall is aimed at parents of students from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. It is being held today (Monday, June 8) live on Youtube from 4:30-6 p.m. and can be watched live on MBUSD's YouTube page.

The second Town Hall is for parents of students from 6th-12 grades. Those schools are Manhattan Beach Middle School (6th-8th grades) and Mira Costa High School (9-12th grades). That Town Hall is set for Tuesday, June 9 from 4:30-6 p.m., and will be live on MBUSD's YouTube page.

Questions for the second Town Hall can be submitted in advance by filling out a form online. Questions were allowed to be submitted in advance for the first Town Hall as well.
