New Potential Candidate For Manhattan Beach City Council Joins In

The November 3rd election is heating up with new potential candidates pulling papers; others turning them in. Three seats are up for grabs.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Two candidates for Manhattan Beach City Council are one step closer to entering the election after submitting paperwork to the City Clerk's office. Chaz Flemmings and Grettel Fournell now await verification by Los Angeles County to officially be in the mix. They join Mark Burton and incumbent Steve Napolitano, who also await verification from the county.

Zach Stiffel is the latest potential candidate to pull papers to run. Others who have pulled papers include Joe Franklin, Phoebe Lyons and incumbent Richard Montgomery. Napolitano has a website for his campaign. Current City Council member Nancy Hersman has opted not to seek reelection.

Current council member Hildy Stern and Mayor Pro Tem Suzanne Hadley are only two years into a four-year term. City Treasurer Tim Lilligren has pulled and filed papers to seek re-election.
The November 3rd elections will include voting for President of the United States. To check to see if you are registered to vote in LA County or to register to vote in LA County, the county registrar-reorder/county clerk has a webpage.
