Photographer Bo Bridges Uses His Lens To Serve A Greater Good

Manhattan Beach Feeds The Heroes and No Kids Hungry in Los Angeles are receiving $5,000 each from Bo Bridges "Porch Pics" project.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — When the coronavirus first began to hit, the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professionals Association launched MB Feeds The Heroes, a campaign to keep restaurant employees working and a way to contribute meals to area hospital workers. The group solicited donations to be able to serve food from MB restaurants to critical Little Company of Mary and Torrance Memorial emergency room staff.

Enter renowned professional photographer Bo Bridges who decided to use his skills to raise funds for MB Feeds The Heroes and No Kids Hungry in Los Angeles. Bridges, whose gallery is located in downtown Manhattan Beach, launched his "Porch Pics," photographing families and individuals at their homes during the pandemic. He recently announced the project had concluded with more than 200 families having been captured in his "Porch Pics." In his Vimeo video, the photog signs the final photo and announces the donations he is making thanks to the project, which raised more than $10,000.

Bridges' work conveys exciting imagery of adventure, professional athletes and celebrities. ESPN writes of him, "He's a professional photographer with photo credits that would mirror that of a pyramid wall filled with iconic pieces of history.” Elite Daily called him "The World’s Most Badass Photographer”. In 2018, he teamed with Marvel Comics to collaborate on a line of limited edition fine art and wall art that brings Marvel’s superheroes and villains into iconic Bo Bridges photographs. He also shot photos for the Tom Cruise "Mission Impossible." His works span the spectrum, from shooting for Surfer Magazine as well as the City of Manhattan Beach's "Manhappenings" Parks and Rec Guide.
