Manhattan Beach residents reported heavy police presence and as police respond to a possible active shooter in the area.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Police officers Friday have their guns drawn at Manhattan Village and a heavy police presence has arrived in the area in response to reports of an active shooter, a resident told Patch.

A helicopter is circling the area and people reported an active shooter in the area surrounding Manhattan Village near North Sepulveda Boulevard and Marine Avenue about 2:45 p.m. Friday.
