Stranger Danger: Manhattan Beach Boy Said Man Made Obscene Sexual Gesture at Him

The incident happened at around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in the corner of 10th Street and Harkness Avenue, police said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- Manhattan Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in investigating a child annoyance case after a boy reported that a man made an obscene, sexual gesture at him Wednesday.

The incident happened at around 3:20 p.m. at the corner of 10th Street and Harkness Avenue, police said. The boy was walking on the street when a man in silver sedan stopped in front of the boy.

The man, described as a light complexion black man in his 30s with short, black-afro-style hair, waved to the boy to walk on, then pulled along side the boy and made the obscene gesture, police said.

The boy walked away and the suspect drove away westbound on Ninth Street, police said. The car was described as possibly a Honda or Toyota.
