Suspect Of Fatal Hit-And-Run Arrested In Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach police arrested a man believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A suspect believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman and injured two others was arrested Thursday, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Kameron Lee Peterson was arrested on suspicion of murder, reckless driving and hit-and-run causing death or serious injuries.

Police responded to the crash in the 300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Jan. 7. The crash occurred between two vehicles and injured several people, police said.

Paramedics took three people to a local trauma hospital to receive treatment.

"Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, one victim succumbed to their injuries. A second victim is currently undergoing surgery, and their condition is unknown at this time," MBPD said in a statement.
