• CA Office of Traffic Safety awards Contra Costa DA's Office over $300k grant for DUI Prosecution Team (antiochherald.com) — A new $323,500 state traffic safety grant will fund a specialized DUI prosecution team based out of the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office in Martinez, aimed at cracking down on alcohol- and drug-impaired driving. The funding runs through September 2026 and will also support training other prosecutors and working with law enforcement to improve DUI case handling and road safety.
   

• US West Coast jet fuel's premium to Asia near its widest in nearly two years (wincountry.com) — A prolonged outage at PBF Energy’s Martinez refinery is helping tighten jet fuel supplies on the U.S. West Coast, pushing local prices to one of their widest premiums over Asia in nearly two years. Combined with other California refinery issues and weaker Chinese demand, the disruption in Martinez is influencing global fuel flows and could keep regional jet fuel costs elevated.
