MILL VALLEY, CA — The home of a world-renowned film festival’s has ventured into the music business, and it appears to have hit the right note.
The inaugural Mill Valley Music Festival is scheduled to be held Saturday at Friends Field, and organizers announced on Facebook earlier this week that the event has sold out.

“The inaugural Mill Valley Music Festival is officially sold out!” organizers wrote on the event’s Facebook page.
“Thank you for such an amazing response from our community. We can't wait to see you on Friend's Field this Saturday ”

Three-time Grammy Award winner Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals will headline the festival and Lettuce, Liz Cooper, Los Amigos Invisibles and La Doña will also perform.
The one-day outdoor arts and culture event is presented by the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The event will feature a multi-genre music mix along with gourmet food, drink and art.
“There's no doubt that these past few years have been incredibly rough for all of us," Mill Valley Chamber Director Jim Welte told The Marin Independent Journal earlier this year.
"We can't wait to celebrate the resilience of Mill Valley, Marin County, and the entire Bay Area, and the vital role the Bay plays in the vibrancy of the Golden State — all set to an amazing, day-long soundtrack of fantastic music and an abundance of incredible food, drink and art while spending an afternoon with your best friends and ones you've yet to meet."
