Missing Mill Valley Woman Found Dead

The cause of 62-year-old Jennifer Mary Aranson's death is under investigation, authorities said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA —A Marin woman who was reported missing over the weekend has been found dead, authorities said.

The woman was identified as Jennifer Mary Aranson, 62 of Mill Valley, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.

Aranson’s body was found Monday at around 5:50 p.m. in her parked vehicle in the 200 block of S. Ridgewood Road in Kentfield, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Aranson did not appear to have suffered a traumatic injury and no evidence of foul play was found at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The cause of her death is under investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A forensic postmortem examination with toxicology testing is expected to be completed today, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Evidence at the scene indicated she may have misused nitrous oxide inhalants, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Aranson’s body was found by members of the Marin County Search and Rescue Team, the Sheriff’s Office said.

“The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Mill Valley Police Department and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
