MILL VALLEY, CA — Tamalpais High is readying for a pivotal Marin County Athletic League showdown with major title implications.

The Red-tailed Hawks play on the road against perennial North Bay power Marin Catholic on Saturday at 2 p.m.

With a victory, Tamalpais (6-3, 5-1 MCAL) could be part of a tie for first place involving up to three teams.

Marin Catholic (8-1, 4-0 MCAL) currently owns sole possession of first place.

The Red-tailed Hawks are coming off a wild 36-26 loss to San Marin (8-1, 5-1) in which sophomore quarterback Braden Young was 21-for-28 passing for 355 yards and three touchdowns and one interception.
