1 Dead In Fiery High-Speed Crash In South OC: CHP

The crash was reported at 11:08 a.m. when a car overturned and landed in a gully while driving at a high rate of speed, authorities said.

RANCHO MISSION VIEJO, CA — At least one person died in a fiery solo crash in Rancho Mission Viejo Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 11:08 a.m. Monday on Cow Camp Road and Los Patrones Parkway, authorities said.

According to preliminary reports, the victim was inside of a vehicle that had crashed and overturned before landing in a gully and catching fire.

The vehicle was traveling at "high speeds" just before the crash, police said.
