Annual Holiday Lights Competition Starts In Mission Viejo

Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to get festive and help spread holiday cheer by competing in the Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest. Homes must be decorated and applications submitted to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee by 5 pm on Friday, December 5.

Homes will be judged based on categories including Most Creative Use of Lights; Most Creative Theme; Most Traditional/Festive/Religious Theme; New Kids on the Block; Showstopper; and Light Up Your Neighborhood Award.

Preliminary judging takes place December 7 through December 8, with the final judging on December 10. Winners will receive a winner sign for their front yard, gift basket with select prizes donated from community partners and bragging rights! They will also be featured on the holiday address points and holiday homes YouTube video.
