Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Stabbed In Mission Viejo
A man was stabbed at a home in the 21000 block of Calabaza Thursday night, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A woman was detained by the Orange County Sherriff's Department Thursday night in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man in his Mission Viejo home.
Authorities said the man and woman knew each other, but it's unknown what kind of relationship they had or if she lived at the man's home. The sheriff's department has not publicly identified the man and woman.
Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a man with multiple stab wounds around 6:20 p.m. in the 21000 block of Calabaza.

Paramedics at the scene treated the man for his wounds and took him to a hospital, where he later died, the sheriff's department said. The woman was detained for questioning and has not been formally arrested.
The man's death is being investigated as a homicide, the department said.

The stabbing was an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public, according to the sheriff's department.
