The Emeryville-based company announced that it plans to hire 500 youths in the Bay Area and 3,500 youth nationwide as part of its National Hiring Day being held March 5.
According to the company, the "tough economy and fierce competition for summer jobs means one in five Bay Area youth will be unable to find employment this summer. Jamba hopes its summer jobs initiative will make finding a job that much easier."

A spokewoman for the company told Patch that while candidates can apply at the store, it speeds up the process if candidates download the online application and already have it completed when the arrive.
Another tip:
Ask how many positions the store has available and then politely ask the hiring manager to also refer your application to another nearby store if their positions fill up quickly.
Good luck!
