• Mountain View backs contentious plan to allow more housing south of El Camino Real (mv-voice.com) — Mountain View’s City Council has approved rezoning several commercial properties, mainly south of El Camino Real, to allow higher-density housing while keeping existing businesses for now. The contentious 6-1 vote affects sites in Blossom Valley, downtown and North Whisman, with neighbors raising traffic and small-business concerns and supporters stressing the need for more homes local workers and families can afford.
