Large Power Outage Impacting 1200+ Reported Around San Jose

BREAKING: Outages started at midday in Santa Clara County. Are you without power?

SAN JOSE, CA -- Pacific Gas & Electric is reporting outages in Santa Clara County, with the biggest two in the San Jose area. Collectively, the outages have affected 1218 customers, one starting at 10 a.m. and the other shortly before 2 p.m.

PG&E is expecting those impacted by the morning outage to have power by 4 p.m. There's no estimated time for the other.

The wind-induced outages blanketed the San Francisco Bay Area from the South to East to North bays.

Also in the South Bay, there's one affecting 145 customers without power in Sunnyvale near Mountain View. The outage started at 12:35 p.m. PG&E estimates the power will be restored by about 3:15 p.m.
