Tech CEO In Embarrassing Kiss Cam Video With Staffer Goes Viral

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who formerly worked in the Bay Area, was caught on camera at a Coldplay show cozying up to his staffer.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — A video showing Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's HR Chief Kristin Cabot getting cozy together at a Coldplay concert has spurred criticism and controversy online.

Byron, who is married to someone other than Cabot, became the hot topic of the Internet on Wednesday.

The footage of the pair, who were caught candidly holding each other on a Jumbotron or "kiss cam," was posted to TikTok. Within days, it would be a story in Newsweek, with the pair identified by their names and job titles.

A few seconds after the camera turns to the unsuspecting pair, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin cheekily points them out, both Cabot and Byron immediately attempt to conceal their faces.

"Oh, look at these two," Martin said to the crowd. "Alright, come on, you're OK. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."

Byron, who appears to have removed his LinkedIn page, has been CEO of Astronomer for just over two months, according to media reports. The company is based in New York but has a presence in the Bay Area. Before that, he worked at Lacework, a tech security company in Mountain View.

Cabot's LinkedIn, as well as Astronomer's post announcing her employment at the company, also appeared to be unavailable, as her name appeared alongside Byron's in headlines across the nation.

She serves as the company's Chief People Officer.
