1 Arrested, 5 Citations Issued During Cinco De Mayo DUI Patrols In Napa
The Napa Police Dept Traffic Unit conducted a DUI patrol between 6 pm Fri., May 5 and 2 am Sat., May 6 during Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

NAPA, CA -- One unlucky person was arrested, and five citations were issued by Napa Police over the weekend as part of the NPD's DUI patrols held in conjunction with the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
The Napa Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a DUI patrol from 6 p.m. Friday, May 5, and 2 a.m. Saturday, May 6. During the enforcement period officers conducted:
58 - Vehicle enforcement stops
9 β Drivers evaluated for DUI
1- DUI-Alcohol suspect arrested
2 β Misdemeanor citations were issued for driving with a suspended license
3 β Citations issued for moving violations

Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension and other expenses that can exceed $10,000 not to mention the embarrassment when friends and family find out.
Napa PD said it plans to conduct more DUI saturation patrols during the BottleRock Napa Valley festival, taking place May 26-28.
The Napa PD's DUI patrols are funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, reminding everyone to βReport Drunk Drivers β Call 9-1-1β.
