1 Vehicle Catches Fire, Another Crashes Into Building During Separate Napa Incidents
Police and fire crews responded to two separate incidents involving vehicles Sunday morning in Napa.
NAPA, CA -- It was a bit of a strange day in Napa on Sunday police said, after they and fire crews responded to two separate incidents involving vehicles April 23 in the city.
According to a post on the Napa Police Department's Facebook page, at 4:15 a.m., the police and fire departments received calls about a car on fire along the Silverado Trail.
According to police, the driver parked the vehicle and took a nap. But while he was sleeping, dry brush and mulch around the vehicle caused a small fire. The driver awoke to smoke inside his vehicle and managed to get out before it engulfed in flames, police said.

About 45 minutes later, police received another call about a vehicle that went into a building on Sierra Avenue. According to police, the driver was unfamiliar with the area and couldn't maneuver a turn in time, and drove straight into a building.
Roadways in the areas of both incidents were closed for a short time. No one was seriously hurt, police said.
