3 Glock Firearms, 3 Men, 2 Days In American Canyon
Police: Glock firearms found during the arrest of three men in American Canyon within a day of each other.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Police said they found Glock firearms when they arrested three men in American Canyon within a day of each other.
Police said they stopped Amner Carillo-Espinoza, 23, on Highway 29 near American Canyon Road on Sunday, shortly before 11:00 p.m., after he ran a red light. Officers spotted an open tray of what they suspected to be marijuana in the front seat of the car he was driving, which was missing license plates, according to a news release from the American Canyon Police Department. They also found a loaded, unregistered Glock 27 firearm inside Carillo-Espinoza’s backpack, police said. He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, driving without license plates, driving with an open container of cannabis, carrying a loaded firearm not owned by the person, and running a red light.
Monday morning an officer stopped 21-year-old Oakland resident Deonte Cormier in the parking lot of Shenandoah Park next to the American Canyon Police Department. He was in a vehicle displaying two different, non-matching, license plates, according to police. An open container of what police suspected to be marijuana was visible inside the car, police said. Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded Glock 22 .40 Caliber, unregistered firearm on the floorboard, according to American Canyon police. He was charged with driving without license plates, driving with an open container of cannabis, and carrying a loaded firearm not owned by the person.

Shortly before midnight on Monday officers stopped a white Kia sedan near Highway 29 and Mini Drive that was suspected of being involved in a recent vehicle theft in American Canyon. As the vehicle pulled over, the front seat passenger, 24-year-old Benicia resident Elijah O’Connell, fled. Officers found O’Connell hiding in a nearby shopping center along with his discarded backpack in a bush. His backpack contained a loaded, unregistered Glock 17 firearm equipped with an extended magazine. Police also found suspected cocaine. Charges filed include possession of an unlawful substance, resisting arrest, carrying a loaded firearm.
All three were taken to the Napa County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
