55-Hour Full Closure In Place For Eastbound Highway 37

Eastbound Highway 37 is expected to remain closed throughout Mother's Day weekend, until 5 a.m. Monday.

NAPA, SOLANO AND SONOMA COUNTIES, CA – Caltrans will begin pavement work on eastbound state Highway 37 this weekend, with a full 55-hour closure set to begin for the eastbound lanes at 10 p.m. Friday, May 10.

The closure is from Sears Point in Sonoma County to Mare Island in Solano County. Motorists will be detoured at the SR-37/SR-121 interchange in Sonoma County.

Caltrans has completed the major pavement repair project on westbound SR-37 and for the next two weekends will do the same work but for the eastbound lanes.

Detours will be in effect on eastbound SR-37 throughout Mother's Day weekend, until 5 a.m. Monday, May 13. Westbound SR-37 is to remain open at all times.

Eastbound SR-37 Detour

  • Motorists traveling eastbound on SR-37 will need to exit left onto northbound SR-121 in Sonoma;
  • Make a right on SR-12/SR-121 (Carneros Highway) and continue;
  • Right on SR-12/SR-29; and then
  • Enter left for the connector loop off-ramp back to eastbound SR-37.

Final Closure Next Weekend Depending On Weather

The final scheduled 55-hour weekend full closure is planned to start Friday, May 17 on eastbound SR-37 and conclude at 5 a.m. Monday, May 20. All work is weather-dependent.
