Pets Pulled to Safety From Napa Apartment Fire

The fire broke out Tuesday in an apartment off of Old Sonoma Road. Firefighters rescued four pets.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Napa firefighters rescued multiple dogs and cats from a blaze in a multi-story apartment building.

The fire broke out Tuesday in an apartment off of Old Sonoma Road, a Napa Fire Department spokesperson said in a social media post.

Crews moved quickly to knock down the flames to get inside the apartment, the spokesperson said.

They pulled to safety two dogs and two cats, carrying them down the apartment stairs.

“Crews used FIDO masks to provide oxygen, and all pets are expected to recover," according to the spokesperson.

Napa fire reported no other injuries.
