American Canyon High School Teacher Accused Of Sex With Minor Student

Bradley Rowell, 41, was arrested twice last week — once at the school and once at home in Sonoma.

NORTH BAY, CA — An American Canyon High School teacher is facing multiple charges of lewd acts on a child and unlawful sexual intercourse.

American Canyon police received information late the afternoon of April 8 alleging Brad Rowell, 41, was involved in inappropriate behavior with a minor.

The following morning, after further investigation of the allegations, Napa County sheriff's detectives arrested Rowell on campus. He was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of three felony charges: contact with a minor for a sexual offense, sexual exploitation of a child, and possession of obscene matter with a person under 18.

Rowell, a P.E. teacher, was released on $100,000 bail.

He was re-arrested Friday, April 12, on new charges.

Armed with a no-bail warrant, detectives arrested Rowell near his residence in Sonoma. He was brought back to Napa County where he was booked into jail on suspicion of new charges including multiple counts of lewd acts upon a child and unlawful sexual intercourse.

He remained in custody this week without bail. He has been placed on administrative leave from the Napa Valley Unified School District.
