Structures Burn As Fire Rages In Napa County
The fire was reported at 4:30 p.m. off of Arroyo Grande Drive and Steele Canyon Road in Capell.
NAPA COUNTY, CA -- A brush fire erupted Saturday afternoon in Napa County. CalFire said the blaze was reported at 4:30 p.m. off of Arroyo Grande Drive and Steele Canyon Road in Capell.
As of 5:30 p.m., the fire burned 100 acres, prompting the evacuation of homes on Berryessa Highlands and Pleasure Cove. Five structures were on fire in the Steele Canyon Road-Arroyo Grande Drive at that time, the dispatcher said. Winds of 17 mph were pushing the fire along at a speed greater than 3 mph.
It isn't yet known how the fire started. Firefighters from Cal Fire and Napa County Fire departments, along with resources from Yolo and Solano counties, the Napa County Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol.

The Steele Fire was one of many to burn across the state Saturday as thousands of Californians were evacuated from their homes. One of the largest fires, in Shasta County, destroyed 500 structures by Saturday morning.
No other information on the Steele Fire was immediately available.
