Calistoga Main Breaks Leave Customers Without Water, Gas

The gas main break left 186 customers without service, PG&E said.

CALISTOGA, CA — Dozens of people are without gas in Calistoga due to a gas and water main break, Calistoga police said on Wednesday night.

The main break was first reported by police around 5:30 p.m. near Petrified Forest Road and state Highway 128.

The gas main is being repaired by PG&E and 186 customers in the area are without service, police said.

PG&E is expected to relight pilots for customers starting on Thursday.

Additionally, no known customers have been affected by the water main break, which is expected to be repaired on Thursday.

Some AT&T phone lines were also damaged and are also set to be repaired on Thursday, police said.

Police didn't say what caused the main breaks.
