NORTH BAY, CA — Caltrans scheduled a nighttime full closure Monday night of westbound state Highway 37 from Mare Island in Vallejo to Sears Point in Sonoma County for an ongoing major pavement repair project.

During the closure from 9 p.m. Monday, May 6, until 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, Caltrans crews were expected to complete the striping of the newly paved westbound lanes.

Because of unfavorable weather and high winds during a previous weekend closure, Caltrans had to reschedule some of the work for Monday night. To ensure the safety of workers and motorists, Caltrans needed to fully close westbound lanes.
