Crash, Roadwork Delay Traffic On Hwy 221 In Napa

One lane of the highway was closed for emergency roadwork and a collision was reported near the work zone.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — A crash coupled with emergency roadwork was causing severe traffic delays Tuesday on state Highway 221 in Napa, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At 11:06 a.m., the CHP reported a severe traffic alert with the left lane of northbound SR-221 blocked for emergency roadwork from state Highway 12 to Anderson Road in Napa.

Shortly before noon, CHP dispatchers reported there was a collision on SR-12 at Anderson Road. There were no immediate details about the crash.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. There was no estimated time to reopen the roadway, according to 511SFBay.org.
