Fire Restrictions Lifted In Napa And Six Counties On Federal Land
Campfires and portable stoves will be permitted at campsites on select federally-managed land.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — Seasonal fire restrictions on federal land in Napa County and other parts of the Bay Area were lifted this week.
The federal Bureau of Land Management announced the policy change in seasonal fire restrictions on lands under the agency's oversight.
The change announced Wednesday means visitors can once again enjoy campfires and use portable stoves at campsites on BLM-managed land.

BLM lands in the region include the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument – spanning Napa, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Yolo and Glenn counties, as well as Fort Ord National Monument in Monterey County, among others.
A California campfire permit is required for campfires and portable stoves. Permits can be obtained at BLM, U.S. Forest Service or Cal Fire offices, or at https://readyforwildfire.org/.
