Get Ready Napa For The Annual Latke Throwdown In Yountville

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Get ready for the great Latke Throwdown of 2025 at Bardessono’s in Yountville, where top local chefs will compete in a fierce — but friendly — contest for charity.

On Dec. 11, chefs will have 30 minutes to create the ultimate latke. Guests will have the chance to sample the contenders' creations and witness the crowning of the winner, who will be awarded the coveted Golden Spatula.

Bardessono executive chef, Rick Edge, of Lucy Restaurant and Bar with be vying for the coveted prize.

This is the fifth year of the event that celebrates delicious latkes and community spirit in Yountville style.

The panel of judges this year includes past Latke Throwdown winners alongside local chefs and tastemakers, who will judge competitors in three categories — creativity, presentation and taste.

Tickets are $20. All proceeds benefit Parents CAN, a Napa-based nonprofit supporting families of children with special needs. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

The event on Dec. 11 is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bardessono Hotel and Spa, 6526 Yount St., Yountville.
