NAPA COUNTY, CA —Lake Berryessa's "glory hole," which funnels excess water into Putah Creek, was visible Tuesday in all its splendor.

"Very interesting watching and listening to this giant drain plus hoping the Canadian goose doesn’t get sucked in," according to Patch reader Ed L, who sent this photograph.

The goose is pictured on what appears to be a piece of plywood, teetering at the edge of the spillway. We hope the little guy flew out of harm's way.
