Highway 37 Closures To Continue Through January

Caltrans is conducting nightly sea-level rise mitigation work on eastbound SR-37.

NORTH BAY, CA— Caltrans was slated to start overnight this week on eastbound state Highway 37 between the state Highway 121 junction near Sears Point and Railroad Avenue in Vallejo.

From 9 p.m. each weeknight until 5 a.m. the following morning, Caltrans will close eastbound lanes to conduct drilling operations as part of its mitigation efforts against rising sea levels. The work is expected to be completed by Feb. 1.

During the nightly closures Jan. 6-Feb. 1, eastbound traffic will be detoured north on SR-121, east on SR-12 and south on SR-29 to the 37/29 connector.

Westbound lanes are not affected by the work and will remain open, Caltrans said.
