Historic All-Female Napa County Board Of Supervisors Takes Office
The five-member board held its inaugural meeting this week.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — For the first time in its history, Napa County has an all-female Board of Supervisors.
When the new board held its inaugural meeting of the year Tuesday, one of the first orders of business was to appoint the chair and vice-chair. District 3 Supervisor Anne Cottrell of St. Helena was elected to serve as chair for 2025 and District 4 Supervisor Amber Manfree of Napa will serve as vice-chair.
District 1 Supervisor Joelle Gallagher of Napa, District 2 Supervisor Liz Alessio of Napa, and District 5 Supervisor Belia Ramos of American Canyon round out the five-person board.

Newcomers Alessio and Manfree were also elected in the primary for four-year terms ending in 2028. They succeed Supervisors Ryan Gregory and Alfredo Pedroza, who both retired after serving two four-year terms.
