Injured Hiker Rescued From Remote Napa County Trail

The hiker was flown to a hospital by a California Highway Patrol helicopter crew.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Crews from multiple agencies, including a helicopter from the California Highway Patrol, rescued an injured hiker Sunday night on a remote trail near the Rector Reservoir in Napa County.

The CHP posted images of the rescue, which took place about two miles northeast of Yountville, in a 9:38 p.m. post on Facebook.

Crews from CalFire/Napa County Fire Department and paramedics located the injured hiker on a remote trail and the CHP helicopter crew transported the hiker, whose name was not released, to a Napa hospital with unspecified injuries.
