At Least 1 Dead In Crash Near Calistoga

The fatal collision closed Highway 128 in both directions, according to the California Highway Patrol.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — At least one person died in a collision Wednesday night in unincorporated Napa County near Calistoga, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 8:30 p.m. at Tubbs Lane and state Highway 128 just west of the Calistoga city limits.

CHP Officer James Evans said the collision may have involved a vehicle fire. Highway 128 is closed in both directions and there was no estimate for when it will reopen.
