New Bay Area hydrogen plant aims to boost clean energy supply for North Bay and state (pressdemocrat.com) — Napa’s Vine Transit maintenance facility is already hydrogen-ready, and Napa-based Biagi Bros. is grappling with high hydrogen costs and limited fueling options for its clean-fuel trucks. A new Pittsburg hydrogen plant could ease North Bay supply constraints, potentially lowering costs and accelerating local adoption of fuel-cell buses and commercial vehicles that serve Napa residents and businesses.

Napa girl succeeds in mission to move Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta statues to spotlight (pressdemocrat.com) — A Napa middle-schooler’s four-year campaign is finally moving towering Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta statues from a hard-to-see downtown facade into Puertas Abiertas’ Soscol Avenue office, where they’ll anchor a planned Latino Cultural Center. The relocation, expected early next year, highlights farmworker history, honors local Latino communities, and shows how one young resident successfully pushed city leaders and a developer to act.
   

3. How a North Bay school counselor's simple ‘toolbox' for emotions grew into a global movement (pressdemocrat.com) — Napa’s Pueblo Vista Elementary and all 16 Napa Valley Unified elementary schools now embed the Toolbox Project into daily classroom life, giving kids shared language and tools for handling big emotions. The program, created in rural Sonoma County and now used worldwide, is credited with helping students, families and even teachers navigate stress, conflict and post-pandemic social challenges.
   

4. California Farm Bureau holds annual meeting, elects leader (appeal-democrat.com) — Napa’s farm community is getting statewide recognition, with August D’Amato of Napa elected chair of the Young Farmers & Ranchers State Committee and serving on the Napa County Farm Bureau board. A St. Helena leader also continues representing Marin, Napa, and Sonoma on the California Farm Bureau board, as the organization touts advocacy wins and re-elects its president.
