Man Convicted Of Killing Wife Denied Parole
78-year-old Robert Eugene Schippmann was denied parole on Friday. He was convicted of murdering his wife near Angwin 23 years ago.
VACAVILLE - A man convicted of the 1993 murder of his wife has been denied parole, Napa County District Attorney Gary Lieberstein announced Friday.
Robert Eugene Schippmann, 78, was denied parole after a hearing that occurred Thursday before the Board of Prison Terms at California Medical Facility in Vacaville.
Schippmann was convicted of the murder of his wife Juli Schippmann, after pleading guilty in 1993 to second-degree murder and admitting to the special allegation for personal use of a firearm, prosecutors said.

On April 23, 1993, Schippmann drove his estranged wife to a remote location in the hills near Angwin and shot his wife three times with a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle, according to prosecutors.
The parole board denied Schippmann a review until 2019.
