Motorcyclist Dies After Being Pinned In Collision In Napa County
A motorcycle rider died after he collided with another vehicle and became pinned underneath it, the California Highway Patrol said.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — A motorcycle rider died after he collided with another vehicle and became pinned underneath it, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The Triumph motorcycle was northbound on Wooden Valley Road at a curve in the road when it encountered a Chevrolet going south about 2:20 p.m., the CHP said.
As he rounded the curve, the rider laid his bike down. The bike slid and crashed into the Chevrolet's right front tire and the rider was pinned underneath the vehicle, the highway patrol said in a press release.

The driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger, along with a witness who had been driving behind the motorcycle, attempted to lift the vehicle off the rider.
They were able to drag the rider out from under the Chevrolet when emergency personnel arrived. The rider died of his injuries at the scene, the highway patrol said.

Wooden Valley Road was closed at the 1700 block in both directions until about 5 p.m., the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.
