Napa Humane Celebrates 2 Years of Dog Training, Community Impact
The community is invited to a birthday celebration featuring a tail-wagging lineup of activities.
NAPA, CA—Napa Humane invites the community to a celebration to mark the second birthday of its Dog Training Program and Pet Education Center.
Napa Humane is a nonprofit organization serving the Napa Valley since 1973. Napa Humane's Dog Training Program was launched in 2023 and has grown into a cornerstone of the organization’s mission to keep pets healthy, happy and in loving homes. Over the past two years, the program has served 625 local dogs and their families and counting, offering affordable, positive reinforcement training classes, puppy socials, workshops, private sessions, and special events.
“We believe in setting pets and their people up for success,” said Wendi Piscia, executive director of Napa Humane. “At Napa Humane, our mission is rooted in compassion and prevention. Adding dog training allows us to give families the tools to build lifelong connections with their pets—and to address or even prevent behavioral challenges before they begin.”

“The best part of this work is watching the transformation—seeing nervous dogs gain confidence, puppies learning their first cues, and people building strong relationships with their pets,” said Alyssa Vincent CPDT-KA, Napa Humane’s Pet Education Program Manager and Dog Trainer. “This program has been a game changer for so many families.”
