Napa Man Charged With Attempted Murder And Criminal Gang Activity
19-year-old Napa resident arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and participation in a criminal street gang.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — Napa police have arrested a Napa teen in the Aug. 20 shooting that police say was gang related.
The suspect, identified as William Stroud Jr., was arrested on Sept. 9 on suspicion of attempted murder, participation in a criminal street gang, and committing a felony offense to the benefit of a criminal street gang, according to police.
The shooting happened near Freeway Drive and Pine Street near Highway 29, where police said they found a victim with a serious but not life-threatening gunshot wound.

Napa Police Special Enforcement Unit detectives identified Stroud as a suspect after conducting several search warrants in Napa and one in Benicia.
