Napa Man Charged With Rape, Kidnapping, Burglary: Police

NAPA, CA — A Napa man is charged with rape, kidnapping and burglary after an incident Sunday in southern Napa County, according to police.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a violent sexual assault in a home in the south area of the county, police said, adding the attacker was identified as 40-year-old Jaime Omar Reyes.
SWAT teams went to execute a search warrant at Reyes’ residence, but he wasn’t there, according to police, who said detectives were directed to an address in the 300 block of Rio Del Mar in American Canyon.

“Fortunately, this incident was able to come to a peaceful resolution after hours of de-escalation tactics,” the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Reyes was booked into county jail and is charged with burglary, rape, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment and willful infliction of injury, according to police.
