Napa Man Had Inappropriate Contact With Juvenile Relatives: Police

NAPA - Two juveniles of a Napa family allege an older relative touched them inappropriately for several months - one touched most recently in May - before his arrest last week by Napa police.

According to information posted online by police, 34-year-old Franklin Duran-Estrada was arrested last week on charges of Lewd and Lascivious Acts With a Child Under 14 years old, and False Imprisonment, both considered felonies.

Napa police say on Wednesday, June 1, they were called to a report of a child molestation in the 3500 block of Via Lane. The next day, investigators were able to interview the alleged victim, a female juvenile.

According to police, the girl told investigators an older, male relative had inappropriately touched her multiple times during the last seven months, with the last assault in May.

The older man does not live with the girl, police say.

In subsequent interviews with other family members, police say a second girl came forward to allege Duran-Estrada had engaged her in a similar incident in 2011.

According to police, Franklin Duran-Estrada was located, interviewed, and arrested on the two charges.

He was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.
