Napa Puts Call Out For Event Managers, Producers
The city seeks people to help bring new and old events like Napa Porchfest back to the forefront of the community.

NAPA, CA β Are you passionate about bringing people together through unforgettable events? Do you thrive on orchestrating gatherings that leave lasting memories? If so, the City of Napa is calling for your expertise and enthusiasm to help fill a gap in producing community events.
The City of Napa takes charge of organizing several events throughout the year, including the beloved Napa Lighted Art Festival and the Christmas parade. While these events are a testament to our commitment to community engagement, there remains an opportunity for individuals to step forward and take the reins on other community-driven events. This is an opportunity for organizations to be personalized and strategic in their efforts to create the local events that make our community thrive.

Take, for instance, the SoFi block party and the upcoming OxFest β both shining examples of grassroots initiatives by businesses and community partners. These events showcase the power of passionate individuals coming together to create something truly special.
One of Napa's beloved annual summer gatherings, Napa Porch Fest, is being restructured by a new event organizer. Formerly spearheaded by the Historical Landmark Association, the responsibility has now passed to Amy Linn, the marketing and digital lead of Porch Fest, who is actively working to establish a separate nonprofit organization to oversee the future of Porch Fest. This initiative is still in its early stages, but it highlights the potential for passionate individuals to make a tangible difference in bringing new and old events back to the forefront of our community.

Organizing events is no small feat. It requires dedication, creativity and a knack for logistics. Fortunately, the City has resources and funding available to support these endeavors. The Downtown Napa Association provides financial assistance and guidance on navigating special event permits and supporting events or festivals, the Tourism Improvement District sponsors events and the Parks & Recreation department leads the special event permitting process for events held on public land or involving street closures.
Our Economic Development team is ready to connect interested parties with these resources and more. The stage is set, the community is eager and resources are available. Now, we need strong event managers and producers to step forward and seize this opportunity to shape the cultural landscape of Napa. Together, let's build a future that is focused on creating a vibrant, sustainable community for all who live in, work in and visit the City of Napa.
