OBITUARY: Dan LaTourelle, Napa Electrician, Handyman

LaTourelle passed away on Sept. 10 at age 63.

Dan LaTourelle passed away in Napa on Sept. 10 after a lengthy illness. He was 63.

Dan lived in Wingo and Mayfield for many years before relocating back to Napa where he was born on Feb. 2, 1950. He attended Napa schools and Napa Valley College.

Dan’s career as an electrician and skilled handyman enabled him to live in many places from California and Hawaii to Kentucky. In recent years, he moved back to Napa to care for his mother prior to her passing in 2010.

Dan had a passion for abalone diving along the Sonoma coast and loved to share his catch with family and friends.

His survivors include daughters, Hannah LaTourelle of Kentucky and Lara LaTourelle of Napa; one granddaughter; and sister, Ruth LaTourelle; and nephew, Curtis LaTourelle, both of Yreka, Calif.

He was preceded in death by parents, Curtis LaTourelle and Harriet LaTourelle Wiser and brother, Glenn LaTourelle.

In recent months, his needs were seen to by his lifelong and very caring friend, Al Campbell.

Private cremation arrangements were cared for by Claffey and Rota Funeral Home in Napa. Contributions in his memory can be sent to Hospice of Napa.

No services will be held. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held later. Tributes can be shared on the Claffey and Rota website.
